Description
So this is my humble demo. You can only roam the cave, see if you can find all the things I posted as screenshots.
It's for windows only, but there is a multi platform version also available (let me know if you want it).
Instructions:
Download, unzip and run cave_demo.exe
When running for the first time the game will need a internet connection to download some engine components.
Controls:
W - forward
S - backward
A - turn left
D - turn right
X - take screenshot (didn't test it after packing, no idea where or if the shot gets saved)
Right Mouse Button (mouse3) - turn on/off camera control.
Mouse wheel - zoom in/out
The camera control is a bit unorthodox. Moving the mouse pointer rotates the camera, the closer to the edge the faster the rotation.
Configuration:
the game is packed with a 'config.cfg' file, eddit it with any text editor (like notepad) the options are:
win-size 1024 768
The game resolution, any size you like.
load-display pandagl
or
load-display pandadx9
You can change the driver from OpenGL to DirectX (9), but I only suggest doing that if the game won't start with the default openGL driver
show-frame-rate-meter 1 or 0
Show/hide framerate
compressed-textures 0 or 1
driver-compress-textures 0 or 1
Turns on/off texture compression
shadow-mapping 1 or 0
Turns on/off shadow mapping (setShadowCaster)
shadow-map-size 1024
The size for the shadow mapping buffer
per-pixel-lights 1 or 0
turns on/off per pixel lights and also normal mapping and shadows
red-blue-stereo 0 or 1
turns on/off anaglyph 3d mode
animated-water 1 or 0
turns on/off the water animations
bloom 0 1 or 2
When set to 0 the bloom filter is off, 1 enables it at minimum setting just to get the glow working, 2 is a more like proper bloom
